WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn — Bradley International Airport was recognized as the second-best airport in the U.S. on Tuesday, according to the Connecticut Airport Authority.
The airport is ranked second best as part of the Condé Nast Traveler's 2022 Readers' Choice Awards. The award was given after "more than 240,000" readers provided responses that rated their travel experiences across the globe.
"We are thrilled to be recognized nationally as one of the best airports in the country," said Kevin A. Dillion, A.A.E., Executive Director of the Connecticut Airport Authority. "Every day, we strive to make Bradley International Airport the best it can be, and this prestigious award is an exceptional recognition of our team's efforts. We thank our growing and loyal passenger base for their continued vote of confidence and this tremendous honor."
According to the Connecticut Airport Authority, Bradley International Airport has been recognized as a "top-ten airport" for six consecutive years. This year, it has been given its highest ranking to date.
"Customers praise the airport's convenient on-site parking, plentiful charging stations, free Wi-Fi, and an overall relaxed atmosphere, making this mid-sized facility an attractive alternative to flying out of New York’s and Boston’s monster hubs," the magazine said of the airport.
Savannah Hilton Head Airport was named the No. 1 U.S. airport.

The Connecticut Airport Authority said Bradley International Airport has shown its commitment to its passengers by opening its new ground transportation center in July, and putting $230 million towards projects such as an upgraded baggage screening process and improvements to passenger circulation inside the main terminal of the airport.
