Berkshire Balloons

Get a bird’s eye view of New England in none other than a hot air balloon! Located in New Hartford, Berkshire Balloons has been flying the Farmington River Valley and Litchfield Hills since 1981.

Burlington State Fish Hatchery

The next stop was the Burlington State Fish Hatcher. It is the oldest fish hatchery and was constructed in 1923. Artesian wells and nearby streams provide all of the water necessary for the operation, thereby keeping the electrical needs at a minimum and making this the State of Connecticut's most cost-effective facility. Being near the top of the watershed ensures that land development will have little impact on its future operation. The hatchery produces Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Kokanee, and Rainbow Trout for Fisheries Management Programs.

This year, the hatchery is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Learn more about the Burlington State Fish Hatchery here.

Rowanwood Farm

Nothing spooky about this farm! Llamas and goats roam the pastures in Sandy Hook. The animals contribute fiber to make hand-spun yarn and goat milk for homemade soaps. Meet the llamas and even go on a hike with them at the farm or at local events around the Newtown area.

Witch's Dungeon

The second stop is the Witch's Dungeon in Plainville. Located at 103 E Main Street, the Witch's Dungeon is the world's longest-running movie museum devoted to classic horror and sci-fi films.

CT Antiques Tour

The first stop was the Connecticut Antiques Trail, which takes a meandering part and travelers will be wowed by shops that will cater to almost every type of collector.

Keith and Rachel stopped first at Trailside Treasure on Cards Hill Road in Columbia. There, visitors can find fall décor, and some Christmas and Air plants as well. There's vintage artwork for your walls and antique furniture for your rooms.

The next stop was at By The Pond on Rt. 66 in Columbia. Open Wednesday through Sunday, the shop is an Artist Collective with over dozens of local artists, creators and collectors. You can find handmade, repurposed, recycled and vintage treasures.
