NEW HAVEN, Conn. — There’s a lot to love when it comes to exploring New Haven.
Now, you can add 'getting lost' to the list!
Escape New Haven has created an outdoor, escape room style game designed to explore some of the city’s historic spots.
“New Haven is awesome because it has a really vibrant culture scene for its size, You can walk everywhere, you can get everywhere, you can see everything you want to see from any given point,” says Escape New Haven, co-founder, Max Sutter.
Escape New Haven has created an outdoor, escape room style game designed to explore some of the city’s historic spots.
“I love that it expands what an escape room can be, You are no longer stuck within 500 or 800 ft. You now have the entire city is your playground,” says co-founder, Ethan Rodriguez-Torrent.
The Chauncey Conundrum has people work together to solve a mystery inspired by the famous clockmaker, Chauncey Jerome who once called the city home.
“It has been super satisfying, It is great to see people have a good time, And it is great for people to have something to do outside With their friends amidst everything that has been going on,” says the game’s designer, Trevor Frederickson.
Escape New Haven gives the game 3 stars for exertion and complexity and 5 stars for fun. Sutter had some advice for coming out a winner, “Bring your positive energy, And be good at communicating,” he says.
Escape New Haven takes reservations seven days a week and a team of any size will cost you $79. You can find more information at their website.
