Alexis Rivera knows how to dominate racetracks.
“When you go out on the track, you don’t know what to expect," he said. "It is always something different every time you go out."
For five years, the 25-year old’s been working and racing at Supercharged Indoor Karting in Oakdale, a perfect spot for your Connecticut Bucket List!
He said guests can tailor then experience for any group.
“It all depends, if you are out with a couple of guys, you can stick together and help each other out finding a faster line, or you can follow each other and see who has a better time,” he said.
First-timers over 15 years old can choose between pro and semi-pro conditions for the 8-minute course.
“What is something unique, driving an electric go-cart. There is just so much power and so much torque," Supercharged’s Zach Davis said. "Behind those carts that you just fly around the track."
Davis offered our FOX61's Keith McGilvery some advice for his first lap on the course.
“Certainly take it slow at first these cars are very powerful they can be very quick on our pro speed which is our fastest speed, so get a feel for the track first, your tires heat up, get a little confidence underneath you and then start diving into the corners and having a blast,” he said.
Supercharged is open Thursday through Sunday. First-timers will pay about $30 to take a spin and return customers pay $10 for the Friday night special.
