WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — President Joe Biden has nominated Plainville native Jennifer Homendy for the Chair of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
Homendy served on the NTSB since 2018 and has more than 25 years in transportation safety.
Connecticut residents will recognize Homendy as she spoke on behalf of the NTSB during the B-17 plane crash in 2019 that killed seven people.
Before working for the NTSB, she spent more than 14 years as the Democratic Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Homendy currently lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her family.
President Biden has tapped into Connecticut for multiple officials like Dr. Miguel Cardona, Dr. Miriam Delphin-Rittmon of DMHAS and Stamford-native Jenn Psaki.
