VERNON, Conn. — The identity of a 70-year-old man who died in an early Wednesday morning moped crash has been released by officials.
Police say the crash involved a 2009 Dodge Ram pickup and a Genuine Scooter Company Roughhouse driven by South Windsor resident Owen Wright.
Both the truck driver and Wright were taken to the hospital for injuries. Wright was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say they are working with the help of Metro Traffic Services to investigate the crash. Police added that no charges have been filed at this time and the crash remains "an active investigation."
