FORECAST: An isolated shower is possible the next two days but overall a mainly dry stretch continues

At this point we really need some rain! We're running 2" below average this month to date!

CONNECTICUT, USA — Showers have stayed east of CT on Thursday, paving the way for a beautiful Thursday.

With a lack of recent rain, Windsor Locks is running 2.2" below average month-to-date.

This is creating a higher brush fire risk today and in the coming days until we can get a soaking rain.

A storm will be close to Connecticut during the day on Friday. But again, it looks like most of the rain will stay east of the state. Other than an isolated shower, Friday looks primarily dry but it will be breezy and cooler with highs in the 70s.

Again it's a close call on Saturday, but rain should stay just offshore! This weekend will be much cooler than last weekend, feeling more like early fall like it should for this time of year!

There is a decent signal for rain returning by the middle of next week. Let's hope so!
