CONNECTICUT, USA — After a chilly start highs Monday will reach the mid to upper 50s. Expect more clouds throughout the day with some sunny breaks this afternoon.
A warm front will swing to our north and west late Monday into early Tuesday with a band of clouds, but no rain. Once that warm front pushes through the region, temperatures will jump well into the 70s by Election Day.
Then get ready for possible record warmth again by Wednesday. Check out the potential record highs.
We will also continue to have elevated brush fire risk across our landscape this week.
Check out the drought monitor, showing very dry to moderate drought conditions across southern New England. We need a good soaking rainstorm to alleviate the very dry conditions, and reduce the high brush fire risk. Latest medium range guidance continue to show not much rain for at least another week.
MONDAY: A blend of sun and clouds. High: Upper 50s.
ELECTION DAY: A blend of sun and clouds, much warmer. High: 70-75.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny, record warmth possible. High: 75-80!
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny, cooler, but still warm. High: 65-70.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, still relatively mild. High: 60-65.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. High: 55-60.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy. High: 55-60.
