CONNECTICUT, USA — Clouds will likely stick around this weekend. While there is a slight chance for a sprinkle or light shower on Saturday, most of the state will stay dry for fall fun. There is a chance you could see the sun from time to time throughout this weekend, especially well inland.
Sunday may be a bit brighter but overall still mostly cloudy.
Helene made landfall as a category 4 hurricane near Perry, FL late Thursday night. Major impacts will continue for portions of Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee and Kentucky with heavy rain and wind this weekend. Life threatening flash flooding will be a major concern for communities in these states moving forward.
Here at home, we are not expecting any impacts from Helene as the remnant moisture will stay well to the south during the next few days.
Clouds will continue heading into next week with showers returning later Tuesday - Wednesday.
