CONNECTICUT, USA — As Connecticut braces for a major nor'easter that is expected to leave thousands without power, here is how you can report power outages in your area.
The winter storm can drop more than 12 inches of snow in some areas and over 130,000 customers could lose power. For more information on the forecast click here.
Eversource said in a statement on Sunday that they are prepared with positioning crews and equipment.
Eversource customers can report or check outages on the Eversouce website in the 'report of check power outage' tab and enter the phone number associated with your address.
Eversource customers can also Text STAT to 23129 to get power alerts and restoration times. Eversource customers can also view an outage map.
People are advised not to go near downed power lines, poles or damaged electrical equipment.
For United Illuminated customers, you can report and view outages here.
United Illuminated customers can report an outage by entering their account information. You will be given an estimated restoration time. Restoration information is updated as crews are assigned.

The Nor'easter is anticipated to arrive sometime Monday night, all day Tuesday, and finally, move out on Wednesday morning.
