CONNECTICUT, USA — Tuesday's overnight rain caused flooding in many parts of the state and prompted flood warnings following the winter storm that battered Connecticut over the weekend.
Rain began sometime around 7 p.m. and statewide around 2"-4" inches of rain fell. Some towns reported higher amounts. Flood warnings continue for some of the rivers.
The Yantic River crested this morning at 14.2 ft leading to major flooding around the area. Whereas the Connecticut River at Middle Haddam is expected to continue to rise to a minor flood stage by Saturday.
