After going a whole winter with scant snowfall in Connecticut, the state has seen a storm with measurable snow just as meteorological spring begins this week.
Connecticut is currently under a Winter Storm Warning through Tuesday.
Snow began between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday night, starting from west to east with the heaviest of the snowfall accumulating overnight into 6 a.m. Tuesday.
In total, a widespread 4 inches to 8 inches of snow is expected with some higher amounts in the western hills.
This also may not be the only snowfall we see this week.
Another storm is possible Friday into Saturday. Its track at this point is highly uncertain however and Connecticut could see rain, snow, or a mix of both depending on how close it comes to the state.
