CONNECTICUT, USA — The Thanksgiving week is here, and 'weather' or not, travel can be disruptive on the roads or in the air.
A large system is quickly moving through the country, and will bring most of its impact on Tuesday.
Rain and storms will affect major cities like Chicago and Atlanta in the morning.
The rain moves east as the day progresses, affecting Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and much of the east coast by day's end.
That system moves through New England overnight Tuesday night into Wednesday.
This will mainly bring rain to Connecticut, but it may be just cold enough for a bit of snow in northern areas (especially in the hills) as the precipitation begins Tuesday evening. A coating of accumulation is possible in the coldest spots, but whatever falls will be washed away by rain overnight.
More significant snow will fall in the mountains of northern New England.
Thanksgiving Day looks quiet in the central and eastern United States. Another system will be coming out of the Pacific Northwest and approaching the Rockies Thursday night into Friday.
