Road closures, opened state parks, where to dispose of your debris

The impact of Tropical Storm Isaias was felt around Connecticut, as the storm caused downed trees and blocked roadways.

HARTFORD, Conn — Tropical Storm Isaias hit Connecticut Tuesday afternoon and caused widespread damage across the state. Here are the latest updates, which will be updated as more information is available.

Roads across the state have been closed as trees and wires came down during Tropical Storm Isaias.

Here are only some of the many closures across the state as of 5:30 a.m. Friday. Head here for all closures and delays in the state:

NEW MILFORD - Route 109 CLOSED between Ridge Road and Stockyard Court because of a tree down in the wires. 

MIDDLEFIELD - Route 147 CLOSED between Powder Hill Road and West Street because of a tree down in wires. 

GUILFORD - Route 80 is closed in both directions between Route 77 and the Madison town line because of trees and wires down. 

WEST HAVEN - Route 162 is closed in both directions between Barney Hill RD and Wagner Place because of trees down on wires. 

NORTH CANAAN - RT 44 CLOSED AT ALLYNDALE RD DUE TO TREE IN WIRES ( ). 

HARTLAND - RT 20 CLOSED AT HOGBACK RD DUE TO TREE IN WIRES ( ). 

NORTH CANAAN - RT 44 CLOSED AT HONEY HILL RD DUE TO TREE IN WIRES ( ). 

COLEBROOK - RT 182 CLOSED AT PHELPS RD DUE TO TREE IN WIRES ( ). 

KENT - RT 341 CLOSED AT NEW YORK STATE LINE DUE TO TREE IN WIRES ( ). 

WILTON - RT 106 is closed in both directions at Old Boston Post Road because of trees down on wires. 

TORRINGTON - RT 4 CLOSED AT UNIVERSITY DR DUE TO TREE IN WIRES.

KILLINGWORTH - Route 148 is closed in both directions between Route 81 and Route 79 due to various trees down on wires.

Block Island Express: Operating a regular schedule Wednesday. 

Block Island Ferry (from RI) All high speed and traditional ferries are running on schedule

Port Jefferson Ferry (From Bridgeport) Operating regular three boat schedule

Cross Sound Ferry to Long Island (from New London)  Lighthouse Cruises and High Speed Ferry service are temporarily suspended. Traditional vehicle ferries are operating on a regular schedule. 

Fishers Island Ferry (from New London) - no change in service at this time.

Metro North  - Due to impacts on infrastructure by Tropical Storm Isaias, Metro-North will continue to operate weekend service on all lines: Harlem Line service is restored between Mt. Kisco and Grand Central Terminal only. New Haven Line service is restored between New Haven and GCT. 

Shore Line East: All trains operating on a normal schedule.

CTrail Hartford Line - No delays listed.

Amtrak: Some trains are delayed and some will have different stops. Check for updates here. 

Brush Drop-Off

The East Hartford Transfer Station, located at 61 Ecology Drive, will be open for additional days on Thursday, August 6 and Saturday, August 8 (7:15 a.m.-12 p.m.; 12:30-2:45 p.m.) exclusively for disposal of brush. Please note, Friday, August 7th, the transfer station will remain open for regular operations.

The Mansfield Transfer Station will be open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:30am to 4:00pm to accommodate for brush drop-off. This service is free to residents. There will be free brush drop-off until August 22, 2020.
