CONNECTICUT, USA — A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted across the state excluding coastal areas and Middlesex and New London counties where little snow accumulation is expected (0-1").
This storm will deliver a few inches of snow overnight into Monday morning as it tracks south and east of Connecticut. It is not a very strong storm for us but it could cause some slick spots out on untreated surfaces and could cause some snow covered roads in higher elevations.
Winds won't be too significant with this system but we could see gusts up to 20-25mph as the storm passes through the state.
Most locations fall into the coating - 2" there could be some isolated 3" amounts. Snow showers are expected off and on tonight but will likely taper off early Monday morning.
There could be some tricky travel spots for Monday's commute. Allow extra time to get to your destination Monday morning. The air-mass is marginally cold, so the snow to be wet and heavy as temps will range in the upper 20s to low-mid 30s.
