HARTFORD, Conn. — We have a Weather Impact Alert from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, which is when the bulk of the rain associated with Debby will come through along with a gusty southerly wind.
Debby's leftover circulation will be tracking to our west in New York state. Often times on the east side of the tropical systems, even weakening ones, there can be quick tornadoes that spin up. A Tornado Watch has been issued for Hartford and Litchfield counties until 10 p.m. This means conditions are favorable for a tornado, and to be ready for any warnings, which would come out when one is occurring or imminent.
Here is the future radar at 6 p.m. Friday, showing scattered showers in western and northern Connecticut. The line of heavy rain and storms will be approaching.
FOX61 Weather Impact Alerts are designed to inform you of weather that will impact your daily life, routine, and more. We'll tell you what is coming, when it will arrive, and what preparations you need to make.
