    WEST HAVEN — Police have charged a West Haven man in connection with a police chase and crash killed in innocent driver.     ORANGE — Police arrested a Milford woman in connection with a fatal crash in May 2017. Taylor Stanford, 23, of Milford, was charged with Manslaughter with a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and operating a vehicle under the influence.   • 3 firefighters treated after Hartford blaze

    HARTFORD — Three firefighters were treated after a fire in Hartford that damaged a building Monday. The fire on Capitol Avenue was called in at 11:30 a.m. The fire started in the attic of a three-story multi-family home. Three firefighters were treated for heat related issues. The road was closed for a time. Officials are determining the structural integrity of the building.

  • Human remains found by hiker along walking trail in Canton

    CANTON — Police said human remains were found Sunday along a walking trail in a wooded area. Police said the remains were found near Red Fox Run by a hiker. Officials said the unidentified person had been dead for a significant period of time. Police said there is no threat to the public. The State Police Western District Major Crime Squad is assisting the Canton Police with the investigation and the circumstances of the death. Police haven’t identified the victim. […]

  • Two men arrested, escorted off flight at Bradley

    WINDSOR LOCKS — Two men arriving at Bradley international Airport were arrested and escorted off the plane after it landed. State police said the incident happened around 6:45 p.m. Sunday evening. Police did not release their identities, the reason the men were escorted off the Delta flight, or where the flight originated. Airport officials said the flight arrived from Atlanta and  there was no impact to flight operations due to the arrest. Police said the men are in custody.
