Maggie Slysz first joined FOX 61 in 2013 and worked on special projects including hosting Northeast Living, and the station’s Holiday Wishes specials. She also filled in as a traffic reporter. In 2014 she moved to social media reporting and later that year was promoted to full time morning news anchor and reporter, a position she held through 2016.

Slysz has also worked as a newspaper reporter for The Bristol Press and the New Britain Herald, where she was named ‘Best Local Newscaster’ in the paper’s ‘Best of 2015’ awards, as voted by readers. Slysz, with her Polish background, spearheaded the launch of the paper’s Polish language section and covered local community stories entirely in the Polish language. In 2015, she was awarded the title of Little Poland Ambassador by the Polonia Business Association for her efforts and contributions to the Polish-American community in Connecticut.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Slysz is a Central Connecticut State University graduate.
