  • 10 people left homeless after large fire devastates multi-family residence

    NORWALK — A multi-family home was gutted by flames around noon Saturday in Norwalk. Local fire companies responded to the three-story residence on 34 Kossuth Street in Norwalk just before 12 p.m. to find the second and third floors engulfed in flames. All ten of the home’s occupants managed to escape the burning structure while avoiding injuries.     STONINGTON — A wrong-way driver on I-95 in Stonington collided with at least one other vehicle Saturday evening. Two Lifestar choppers were dispatched after being requested to airlift patients to area hospitals. The crash left multiple parties with serious injuries.     WATERBURY — Police arrested a man they say stabbed two women on Oak Street Friday evening. Waterbury detectives responded to the scene of 72 Oak Street at about 9:30 p.m. after learning of a reported assault in the area which escalated to a stabbing.     MANCHESTER — An arson investigation is underway after a fire Thursday that severely damaged a two family home. Officials said the fire at 151 School St., was deliberately set after new evidence was recovered late Thursday.
