    HAMDEN – Police have cancelled a silver alert for a missing 8-year-old girl from Hamden. Police said Daisy Elci was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and turquoise short sleeve shirt with a Marilyn Monroe picture on it. She is 4’2″ tall, weighs 70 pounds, and has blonde hair and gray eyes. Police said she was located safe Sunday morning.

  • Car crashes into pole, plunges into pond on East Windsor-Ellington town line

    EAST WINDSOR — A car crashed into a utility pole and landed in a pond on Frog Hollow Road near the East Windsor–Ellington town line Friday morning. Dispatchers confirmed serious injuries in the accident and said LifeStar was called to the scene.     CLINTON – A married couple with severe burns had to be pulled from the burning wreckage of a mobile home after an explosion at a trailer park in Clinton. The call came in around 12:30 a.m. this morning at unit #11 at the Evergreen Springs trailer park. Pieces of the mobile home were scattered all over the area.   • Firefighters battle blaze at vacant Hartford building

    HARTFORD – Fire officials said they were battling a two-alarm fire at a vacant building on Gillett Street in Hartford. Firefighters responded to 9 Gillett Street at 4:23 a.m. Friday morning after reports of flames shooting out the top floor of the building. Officials said no injuries have been reported.   • Two-headed rattlesnake found by Arkansas electrical worker

    JONESBORO, Ark. – A rare, two-headed rattlesnake surprised a man in Arkansas Wednesday, according to KFSM. Rodney Kelso, an operations director at Woodruff Electric, was working  on a home about three miles north of Forrest City when he stumbled across the venomous reptile, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
