  • Apartment Fire Under Investigation In Southington

    SOUTHINGTON — A Darling Street apartment was damaged by fire Sunday morning. The fire was reported at around 5 a.m. Fire officials were concerned about damage spreading to multiple units but the fire was contained to one end unit at 32 Darling St. Fire officials would not say if anyone was injured in the blaze. Police are on scene investigating the cause of the fire.

  • Moose Killed On I-84 In Southington

    SOUTHINGTON — A small female moose was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on eastbound I-84 early Sunday, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. The accident happened at about 4:30 a.m. between Exits 31 and 32. There was no information about whether the driver suffered any injuries.
