CANTERBURY — Connecticut State Police issued a warning Monday afternoon about twin brothers deemed armed and dangerous. Tuesday, the brothers were taken into custody in New York, police said.
According to The Harlem Valley News, the pair was found on Tuesday, sleeping in a car that had been stolen from Colchester. They were located in the Putnam County town of Southeast, located several miles over the Connecticut / New York state line, in the area of the junction of I-84 and I-684.
Both Rollins and Coffin were was last known to be driving a black 2000 Chevy Tahoe, which was used in the robbery, police said. On Friday, Sept. 23, around 9:10 a.m. police said a suspect entered the Savings Institute bank on Route 14, implied he had a weapon, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
“Big thanks to NY law enforcement personnel for their assistance,” state police tweeted. Rollins and Coffin will be extradited from New York to Connecticut.
