For Yard Goats fans, a new season and a new beer premiere

“Los Chivos Lager” is meant to celebrate Hispanic culture

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. — For the Hartford Yard Goats, it’s all about local flavor.

As the 2024 baseball season approaches, the newest edition to the lineup comes courtesy of the Bloomfield-based Thomas Hooker Brewery. As is tradition, the Yard Goats and Hooker Brewery have teamed up on a new beer that will be on sale at Dunkin’ Park; this year it’s called “Los Chivos Lager”.

Curt Cameron, the longtime owner of Thomas Hooker Brewery said, “It’s light in style, a little lighter in calories, lighter in alcohol and it is going to be great on a hot summer day at the ballpark.”

Tim Restall, the Yard Goats president said, “These are some of the things that we are doing leading up to opening day on April 9 so it’s something that we are excited about.”
