HARTFORD, Conn. — The Hartford Yard Goats are bringing back a popular event on Wednesday.
The team will host a Black-Owned Business Expo at Dunkin’ Park from 6-8:30 p.m. on Nov. 20.
It will be the fourth time that the Yard Goats host the co-op at their home ballpark. The event is free and open to the public. It will take place in the YG Club presented by The Connecticut Lottery.
Attendees can purchase apparel, products and services from more than 50 vendors who will be participating in the expo. The Yard Goats hosted their first Black-Owned Business Expo at Dunkin’ Park in February 2023.
Earlier this year, Yard Goats General Manager Mike Abramson spoke on the purpose of hosting the businesses at Dunkin’ Park.
“We’re thrilled to continue promoting Black-owned small businesses from the area, following the success of the first season,” he said. “We’re hoping to contribute to the continued growth and recognition of these businesses and their founders.”
During the 2024 baseball season, a Black-owned business was hosted by the Yard Goats during every game at Dunkin’ Park. At each game, the featured business was located at the kiosk on the main concourse, which allowed entrepreneurs to engage with potential customers and promote their brands.
The Black-owned businesses were also promoted throughout the ballpark on the public address system, shown on the videoboard and included on the Yard Goats’ social media platforms.
The Yard Goats open the 2025 season on Friday, April 4 at Dunkin’ Park against the Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankee’s Double-A affiliate that eliminated Hartford from the playoffs several months ago.
Season tickets, group tickets, hospitality options and luxury suites for the 2025 season can be acquired by calling 860-246-4628, by clicking here or by going in person to the Click It or Ticket Box Office at Dunkin Park. Individual game tickets and promotional information will be available later.
