HARTFORD, Conn. — A man from the Unionville section of Farmington was found guilty of multiple counts of sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor during proceedings at Hartford Superior Court on Monday, according to a release from the state’s Division of Criminal Justice.

The testimony also revealed that on Feb. 6, 2021, Olivo picked up a group of minors and brought them back to his home for a sleepover party. Prosecutors said that in the early morning hours of the next day, a second victim woke up and entered the kitchen looking for a drink. Olivo was in the kitchen at this time and sexually assaulted the victim, according to prosecutors.

State’s Attorney Sharmese Walcott applauded the young victims in the release.

“The bravery and commitment of the young victims who stood strong during their testimony to a jury made up of people they have never met is remarkable,” Walcott said, in the release. “I thank the jury for their time, and I thank these young witnesses for their model of strength and courage.”

According to prosecutors, Olivo will be sentenced on Sept. 4 in Hartford Superior Court.
