CHESHIRE, Conn. — A robbery in Cheshire early Friday morning is under investigation by the Cheshire Police Department after four masked suspects activated the burglar alarm at the Fine Cigars and Vape store.
The initial investigation determined that a cash register with an undetermined amount of cash and several vape products were stolen from the store, located on South Main Street, police said.

At 4:19 a.m., law enforcement responded to the activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival, officers watched surveillance footage and determined that forced entry was made through the front glass door, police said. The suspects fled the scene before the arrival of the officers.
The suspects arrived at the store and later left the area in a purple Kia Optima that was reported stolen out of Hamden, Conn., police said. The vehicle bears a Connecticut registration AY79713.
The suspects are currently unknown, and the Cheshire Police Detective Bureau is investigating the incident, police said. The police department asks anyone with information to contact Det. Dennis Boucher at 203-271-5537.
