ANSONIA, Conn. — Late Saturday night, the Ansonia Fire department were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Wakelee Avenue.
Upon arrival, crews found that a car had struck a telephone pole.
According to officials, due to the severity of the accident, a tow truck was called to help stabilize the vehicle so EMS could remove the driver and transport them to a nearby hospital.
