EASTON, Conn. — Saturday night, around 7:40 p.m., the Easton police received several reports of a serious two car accident on Route 58 south of Central Road.
Upon arrival, officers said they found one vehicle on fire and another with serious damage.
According to police, once the Easton Fire Department arrived to extinguish the fire, Easton EMS transported one victim to a nearby hospital. The other person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Route 58 is now open.
The Fairfield Police Crash Investigation Unit, along with the Wilton police and Monroe EMS are currently investigating the situation.
