Woman in critical condition after Hartford shooting; suspect arrested

Early Sunday morning, a woman in her 20s was seriously injured in a shooting on Charter Oak Place in Hartford.

HARTFORD, Conn. — A suspect has been arrested in the assault Sunday of a woman on Charter Oak Place. 

Chuncy Webb, 37, was charged with  Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Negligent Storage of a Firearm. His bond was set at  $875,000 

Around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning the Hartford Police Department responded to Charter Oak Place for reports of a shooting. Officials said they found a woman in her twenties suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition.

According to police, they believe this was a domestic incident . The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions is currently investigating the situation.
