HARTFORD, Conn. — Eversource, an energy provider serving several states including Connecticut, has been named an industry leader by TIME, a nationally-renowned American news magazine.
On Thursday, Eversource announced that it was listed in TIME’s ranking of the World’s Best Companies in 2024, which was crated using global research and data from the firm Statista, an online platform that specializes in data gathering and visualization.
In its list of best companies, TIME ranked Eversource No. 396 out of 1,000 selections. TIME also named Eversource as the No. 1 U.S. utility for sustainability, high employee satisfaction and energy growth.
Joseph Nolan, Eversource’s chairman, president and CEO, said in a release that at Eversource, sustainability and keeping employees engaged with an eye toward the environment is critical. He said Eversource is honored to receive the distinction from TIME and Statista because it underscores the company’s commitment to its core values.

According to Eversource, the World’s Best Companies 2024 ranking from TIME and Statista is based on a comprehensive analysis conducted to identify top-performing organizations across the planet.
The 1,000 companies that were recognized were selected based on multiple dimensions, including employee satisfaction surveys, which were completed in over 50 countries and evaluated employees based on image, atmosphere, working conditions, salary and equality. The rankings also weighed the revenue growth and sustainability transparency of each company through publicly available ESG metrics.
