NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man accused of crashing into a motorcycle last month, which killed the operator, has been arrested.
Juan Ochoa-Macias, 31, was arrested Tuesday in connection to a crash on Sept. 14 that took the life of a motorcycle driver.
Police said the crash happened at the Winfield Street and Pequot Drive intersection, where a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided.
The investigation revealed that while Ochoa-Macias was driving the pickup truck, he turned left onto Pequot Drive. During the turn, the pickup hit a motorcycle traveling straight on Winfield Street. The motorcycle operator was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died the next day.
Police have not identified the victim at this time.
Ochoa-Macias was charged with misconduct with a vehicle and failure to yield while turning left. His bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court later in October.
