BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 29-year-old man was stabbed to death behind the building of a social club in Bridgeport early Friday morning, and city police are now following "substantial leads" in the case.
Police were called to the corner of Stratford and Bruce Avenues around 3 a.m. Friday for a report of a person lying in the street bleeding. Responding officers found the victim, identified as Kyle Allen LeBlanc, with multiple stab wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers believe that LeBlanc was stabbed behind the Thirty Plus Social Club on 1985 Stratford Ave., near the intersection he was found in.
Detectives processed both scenes, conducted interviews and are now following leads in the case.
Police ask anyone with information on the stabbing to call Det. Keith Hanson at (203) 581-5243.
LeBlanc is from Southington and was most recently residing in Stratford, police said.
