Fatal motorcycle crash involving garbage truck under investigation: Danbury police

Officials said the garbage truck driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.

DANBURY, Conn. — A motorcyclist has died after a crash involving a garbage truck in Danbury early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Danbury police were called to the area of 14 Mill Plain Road (Route 6) for a report of a motorcycle crash involving a garbage truck. Responding crews found the motorcyclist in the roadway.

The motorcyclist, who police identified as Carlos Davila, 30, of Ansonia, was taken to Danbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The garbage truck driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.

Mill Plain Road was closed while the Danbury Police Accident Investigation Team conducted an initial investigation.
