NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk police officer has been charged with stalking and harassment in connection with an incident in Bridgeport on Friday.
The Norwalk Police Department was notified on Friday that Officer Hector Delgado was arrested by the Bridgeport Police Department and charged with Stalking Third Degree, and Harassment Second Degree related to a family violence incident.
Officials said Delgado was placed on administrative leave, his duty firearm was seized, and his police powers were suspended.
Bridgeport police said the original incident occurred on Feb. 7.
Delgado posted $50,000 bond and was scheduled to arraigned on Monday at Bridgeport Superior Court.
An internal affairs investigation will be initiated by Norwalk police.
No other details of the case were available.
