STAMFORD, Conn. — The Connecticut Lottery Corporation, or CT Lottery, announced on Friday that a lucky Norwalk resident recently won $100,000 from a $10 scratch ticket.
The Norwalk player claimed the final top prize in CT Lottery’s MONEY game on Thursday.
CT Lottery says the winning ticket was sold at the Bedford Street Market, located at 27 Bedford St. in Stamford. As a result of selling the winning ticket, the business will receive a $1,000 bonus from CT Lottery.
The overall odds of winning a prize in the MONEY game are 1 in 3.38. CT Lottery says that with the final top prize claimed, the MONEY game is now over. Players have until April 7, 2025, to claim any winning tickets.
According to CT Lottery, in fiscal year 2023, lottery players in Connecticut won more than $1 billion in prize money, while lottery retailers earned approximately $88 million in commissions.
All the while, the lottery provided $404 million to support important services and programs funded by the state’s General Fund such as public health, libraries, public safety, education and more. CT Lottery says that since it began in Connecticut in 1972, it has contributed more than $11 billion to the General Fund.
