WALLINGFORD, Conn. — The Connecticut Lottery Corporation announced Wednesday that a lucky player from East Haven hit a first-of-its kind jackpot on Sunday, Oct. 6, winning $354,650.
All it took to win was the purchase of a $30 Fast Play High Roller Progressive ticket. According to CT Lottery, this marked the first High Roller Progressive Fast Play Jackpot winner since the game was launched in August.
The Cumberland Farms store located at 906 North Colony Road in Wallingford sold the winning ticket. The store will receive a $3,546 bonus for selling the winning ticket, CT Lottery reports.
The overall odds of winning on a $30 High Roller Progressive are one in 3.07, according to CT Lottery.
With every ticket sold across the state, Fast Play Progressive jackpots keep growing until someone wins. Fast Play Progressive estimated jackpot amounts can be found on the CT Lottery website by clicking here. They also can be found on ticket vending machines and retailer in-store monitors. Additionally, the progressive jackpot is listed on each Fast Play Progressive ticket purchased.
According to Lottery, players in Connecticut won more than $1 billion in prize money in Fiscal Year 2023, while lottery retailers earned $88 million in commissions. CT Lottery simultaneously provided $404 million to support the services and programs funded by the Connecticut’s General Fund, including public health, libraries, public safety, education and more.
