BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested on Friday after the city’s police department says it was tipped off that someone was selling street-level drugs from the area of the 1000 block of Pembroke Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they approached a suspect, who was evasive and reached for his waistband, Bridgeport police say. Officers were able to detain the suspect and found a .38 caliber pistol in his waistband.
The firearm was reported as stolen, Bridgeport police say. Also reportedly found in the suspect’s possession were folds of fentanyl, 3.4 grams of crack and marijuana.
According to Bridgeport police, 46-year-old Danny Frasier was arrested and is charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, interfering with an officer, stealing a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, possession WITS narcotics and possession of a narcotic substance.
Bridgeport police say Frasier's bond was set at $100,000.
