NEWINGTON, Conn. — The Country Package Store at 256 Hartford Avenue was robbed on Thursday evening, the Newington Police Department reports.
Newington police responded to the store around 8:49 p.m. on Aug. 29 for a report of a robbery in progress. Police say security camera footage revealed that there were two suspects, one of whom used a gun in the robbery.
The first suspect is described as a large Black male wearing a green sweatshirt, black pants, and a winter-style hat. Newington police described the second suspect as a thin Black male wearing an orange sweatshirt and dark pants with lighter gray and blue on the bottom.
Newington police urge residents not to confront the suspects as they were seen with a gun.
