STRATFORD, Conn. — Officers arrested two Stratford home invasion suspects tied to similar incidents across Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, Stratford police said.

Ryeim Robinson, 18, of Newark, N.J. and an unidentified minor are in police custody, both of whom were involved in a home invasion in Stratford, the town's police department said.

On July 15, Stratford police went to a home in the Lordship section of town for a report of a home invasion. Police said they learned that multiple suspects went into an occupied residence during the early morning and stole a vehicle and "other valuables."

The suspects also removed registration plates from other vehicles in the neighborhood, police said.

A police investigation involving state and local officials from Connecticut, New Jersey and New York identified Robinson as the main suspect in the Lordship incident.

Police said Robinson is also a suspect of similar incidents in Fairfield County, New York and New Jersey, along with other unnamed suspects, where they've stolen an estimated $200,000 worth of vehicles and valuables since July.

On Sept. 19, New Jersey State Police spotted Robinson with a gun in Irvington, N.J. and arrested him after a vehicle pursuit.

Robinson will face firearms and other charges in New Jersey. Police said NJSP is holding him as a fugitive from justice until his extradition back to Connecticut to face the state's charges.

On Aug. 22, the New York City Police Department arrested the minor involved in the Lordship incident, while they were committing another home invasion in Brooklyn, N.Y., police said.

The minor is currently in Connecticut to face charges in the Lordship home invasion.

Stratford police say they expect to charge more suspects for their roles in their town's incident.
