BERLIN, Conn. — Emergency crews in Berlin responded to a crash Sunday involving a train and an ATV, according to town officials. No injuries have been reported.

According to CTDOT Communications Director Josh Morgan, the collision happened shortly before 11 a.m. and involved a train on the CTrail Hartford line. The East Berlin Volunteer Fire Company said that it took place between Norton Lane and Orchard Road and involved a fire.

The ATV is believed to have been unoccupied when first responders, including the town police and fire departments, arrived to the scene, Morgan said.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash. According to Morgan, about 20 passengers were onboard the train at the time.

The Berlin Police Department said that they were assisting the Amtrak Police Department with the investigation.
