BRISTOL, Conn. — A moped crash in Bristol left a man seriously injured on Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Around 4:34 p.m. officers discovered the injured operator and performed medical aid until EMS arrived. The man was transported to an area hospital and then transferred to a trauma unit by Lifestar for possible life-threatening injuries and underwent surgery.
It was revealed the operator failed to negotiate a curve on Riverside Ave, causing the moped to crash near East Street. The crash remains under investigation according to the serious traffic accident reconstruction team, who responded to the scene.
