Man hospitalized with injuries in targeted Bristol shooting: Police

Police said they have located a red Infiniti G37 involved in the shooting.

BRISTOL, Conn. — A man was hospitalized after being found with multiple gunshot wounds Wednesday evening in Bristol, the town's police department said.

Officers arrived to the area of East Road and Union Street at 6:45 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls about a man injured from a shooting, police said. 

The man was given medical aid by officers at the scene and was taken to a hospital where he was reportedly going under surgery, according to police. His current condition is unknown.

Police said that they were looking for a red Infiniti G37 with a Connecticut registration number of BK77317 for its involvement in the shooting. Police staid Thursday afternoon that the car had been located. 

The shooting appears to be targeted and police are asking anyone with additional information to call them at 860-584-3000.
