HARTFORD, Conn. — Jendayi Scott-Miller dedicates her life to helping others – that’s why she is heartbroken over what happened at her non-profit's warehouse on Wednesday. Her husband called to tell her that the warehouse they use to store items for Angel of Edgewood had been broken into.
“As soon as he opened the door he noticed the entire warehouse had been ransacked,” Scott-Miller told FOX61.
Some of the items that were taken from the warehouse were TVs, air conditioners, clothing and toys. Plus, many of their copper pipes were cut from the ceiling and taken.
“It just really, like, broke me seeing all of our hard work just gone,” said Scott-Miller.
She told FOX61 Thursday that she is working on continuing the clean-up and getting a security system to prevent this from happening again.
