Hartford police investigate possible kidnapping

HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford police are investigating a possible kidnapping in the capital city Wednesday morning.

Local police received "third party information" regarding a "female being held against her will" at an address on Jefferson Street just before 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.

A large police presence responded to the area, officials said.

The victim was from outside of Hartford and was brought to Jefferson Street, police learned. The victim has since been located and is safe, police said.

No arrests have been made at this time and the police investigation is ongoing.
