SUFFIELD, Conn. — A motorcycle passenger died of her injuries after a crash with a pick-up truck Aug. 29 that left two people seriously hurt, Suffield police said Tuesday.
Police identified the passenger as Kimberlee Anne Kelley, 65, of Somers.
At 5:09 p.m. on Aug. 29, Suffield's police, fire and Volunteer Ambulance Association went to South Main Street after receiving a report about a vehicle collision.
Based on preliminary information, investigators learned that Kelley and the motorcycle operator were traveling north on South Main Street in the area of Kent Avenue when a pick-up truck collided into them from behind, police said.
Kelley and the motorcycle operator were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries after the collision. The condition of the operator is currently unknown.
Police previously said that the truck driver was not injured and was cooperating with investigators.
The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is continuing to investigate the crash.
