SUFFIELD, Conn. — Two people on a motorcycle were seriously hurt after a crash involving a pick-up truck in Suffield Thursday, the town's police department said.
South Main Street is closed from Bridge Street to Kent Street during the investigation, according to police.
At 5:09 p.m., the town of Suffield's police, fire and Volunteer Ambulance Association went to the area of South Main Street for a report of a vehicle collision.
Based on preliminary information, investigators learned that a motorcycle was headed north on South Main Street in the area of Kent Avenue and was hit from behind by a pick-up truck going the same direction, police said.
The operator and passenger on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police. The driver of the truck was not injured and is cooperating with police.
The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad was called to investigate the crash.
