The Silas Deane Highway location will be the first of multiple Hartford area spots, including in Farmington, Newington and South Windsor.

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. — Sally's Apizza in Wethersfield is taking reservations ahead of the location's opening next week, according to a release from the business Wednesday.

The restaurant and bar chain, known for its New Haven-style pizza, is set to open at the The Borden residential complex at 1178 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield on Aug. 29 at 5 p.m.

Reservations are open Wednesday for Aug. 30 and after and can be made by visiting their webpage here. Seating availability on opening night will be on a first come, first served basis.

The Wethersfield location will be the first of multiple Hartford-area locations, including plans for openings in Farmington, Newington and South Windsor. It joins a handful of locations including the original spot on 237 Wooster Street, New Haven, as well as 665 Commerce Drive in Fairfield, 66 Summer Street in Stamford and 298-300 Mishawum Rd Ste. 600 Woburn, Mass.

The Wethersfield menu will feature additions to "long standing favorites," the release said.

"Guests will notice a variety of starters and salads to start off the meal such as Italian wings with calabrian chili; meatballs served in marinara and accompanies with house-made focaccia; a wedge and Caesar salad as well as a selection of bruschettas including tomato and eggplant," says a restaurant spokesperson in a press release. "An expanded entree section features both chicken and eggplant parmesan; two pastas including a ricotta-filled ravioli and chicken francese."

The handmade, coal-fired pizzas will be made using the original recipe from "nearly a century ago" and will include the "classic tomato sauce pie, mozzarella & tomato and potato & rosemary." There will also be a rotating selection of "up-to-three additional season pies," the release said.

The restaurant will include a dining room with 85 seats. A patio for nearly 40 guests is set to open in 2025.

Anyone looking for more information about the restaurant can call 860-955-7565 or visit the website here. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
