WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — The Connecticut Airport Authority and its business partner and award-winning concessionaire Paradies Lagardère announced the opening of a brand-new restaurant inside of Bradley International Airport in a release on Tuesday.
Beercode Kitchen & Bar is now open in the Gates 21-30 concourse, the release said.
“This unique, gastropub-style concept is the first sit-down restaurant in this specific concourse, which will open daily at 4 a.m. with breakfast and then serve lunch and dinner for travelers throughout the day,” the release said.
The restaurant will also feature a range of local craft beers and other beverages, according to the release.
Kevin A. Dillon, A.A.E., executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority, said his team is excited to announce that Paradies Lagardère has brought its newest Beercode restaurant to Bradley International Airport.
“The opening of Beercode is one of several steps we have taken to bring new dining and shopping concepts into the terminal over the last several years,” Dillon said in the release. “We thank Paradies Lagardère for their continued investment at Bradley International Airport and for making these upgrades possible.”
Glaude Guillaume, senior vice president of Operations for Paradies Lagardère Dining Division, said in the release that she and her colleagues appreciate their partnership with the Connecticut Airport Authority and anticipate showcasing the Beercode concept to travels coming in and out of Bradley International Airport.
“We look forward to serving and impressing guests with this gastropub-style restaurant that highlights unique flavors and supports local businesses by featuring excellent local craft beer, ciders and craft cocktails,” Guillaume said in the release.
Paradies Lagardère also has Beercode restaurants in Atlanta as well as San Antonio, Texas, the release said, noting that since July 2023, Paradies Lagardère has been working towards modernizing its offerings at Bradley International Airport.
One of the first upgrades was the opening of the airport’s first Starbucks, the release said, adding that since then, Paradies Lagardère has redesigned one of its New England Travelmart locations in the airport, which opened last fall as the Charter Oak Emporium. The group is also in the process of refreshing one of its New England Travelmarts, which will open in the coming days, the release said.
Both the airport’s CNBC stores will soon be remodeled as well – one will open as a new concept called CT River Landing, according to the release, which said that Paradies Lagardère also operates the iStore and Avanti Marketplace in the airport.
Established in 2011, the Connecticut Airport Authority develops, improves and operates Bradley International Airport and the state’s five general aviation airports – Danielson, Groton-New London, Hartford-Brainard, Waterbury-Oxford and Windham.
Bradley International Airport is New England’s second busiest airport, the release said; the airport’s operations are entirely self-funded, and the airport contributes $3.6 billion to the regional economy.
