WINDSOR, Conn. — One person is the lucky recipient of a $4,000,000 prize-winning scratch ticket sold in Windsor, according to the Connecticut Lottery Monday.
Lara Market LLC on 1010 Kennedy Rd. in Windsor sold the ticket, marking Connecticut's first top-prize winner on a $50 scratch game, a spokesperson said. The business will receive a $40,000 selling bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The player won one of three top prizes in the $4,000,000 Fortune scratch game and chose a one-time lump sum payment of $3,000,000 over the $4,000,000 20-year annuity, according to the spokesperson.
Connecticut Lottery President and CEO Frank Suarez presented the check to the winner at the company's headquarters in Wallingford.
There are two unclaimed top prizes and other unclaimed prize tiers remaining, the spokesperson said. Tickets for the scratch game are $50 each and the overall odds are one in 2.38.
