WINDSOR, Conn. — A Bristol man was arrested following a road rage incident in Windsor that involved a gun early Tuesday morning, according to a release from state police.
Ali Aslan, 58, was driving his vehicle on Interstate 91 North near Exit 37 at approximately 12:18 a.m. when he engaged in a road rage incident, state police said.
Aslan allegedly used his brakes and drove in a reckless manner and displayed a handgun to the victim in a threatening manner, according to state police.
Aslan was located a short time later by state police troopers near Bradley International Airport; he was detained and then taken into custody, state police said, adding that they found a semi-automatic 9mm pistol in his possession.
State police said Aslan was arrested and charged with reckless driving, second-degree breach of peace, first-degree threatening – displaying a firearm and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was released on a $20,000 cash bond stemming from the first-degree threatening – displaying a firearm charge and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on the morning of June 3.
