CONNECTICUT, USA — Gov. Ned Lamont declared Connecticut the 'Foodie Capital of New England' on Thursday after celebrating the achievements of the culinary community with the James Beard Award nominations.

The Port of Call chef Renee Touponce made history as Connecticut’s first nominee for ‘Outstanding Chef,’ and secured her place alongside the culinary elite.
